QUALITY ASSURANCE AND WATER PUDDLE LEAK LOCATION DURING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF A BASIN

The project consisted of the reconstruction of a dumping basin continuously used in their processes, particularly in the wastewater treatment process at the Témiscaming site. To do this, the existing HDPE geomembrane had to be removed, the foundation reshaped, and a new geomembrane installed. The strength of the structure and the inlet/outlet ducts should not be changed.

Groupe Alphard was commissioned for a preliminary assessment of the reconstruction costs, as well as quality assurance during the installation of the geosynthetics, then finally a leak location by water puddle on the 11,000 m² of exposed geomembrane.
