ELECTRICAL LEAK LOCATION USING WATER PUDDLE AND DIPOLE METHODS ON THE FINAL CAP OF BARVUE MINE AT BARRAUTE, CANADA

Barvue mining site is a disused gold and silver mine. The Quebec Ministry of Natural Resources has undertaken the restoration of the site’s tailing pond as well as other infrastructure projects in the mine’s vicinity, including the rerouting and regreening of the Marcotte steam. Following the completion of phase IV capping works, Groupe Alphard performed water puddle and dipole method electrical leak location surveys across the cap’s total area of 255,000 m 2 .
